WIRE EDM

Wire EDM – the process uses an electrical spark generated between two conductive parts: the cutting wire and the workpiece from which material is removed. By using a dielectric solution to control the electrical discharge and applying a metal wire to cut a programmed contour, an EDM machine can produce extrusion dies, punches, precision molds, special parts with fine features, and much more.

DIE-SINKING EDM

Die-sinking EDM is a machining process for shaping and forming metal parts with high precision. It involves the use of electrical discharges, which materialize as sparks, to remove material from the workpiece.

The electrode and the workpiece are immersed in a dielectric fluid, and a potential difference is applied between them. As the electrode approaches the workpiece, sparks jump across the gap, removing material from the workpiece and forming the desired shape.

This process is particularly useful for creating complex shapes in hard materials that would be challenging or nearly impossible to achieve using traditional machining methods. It is widely used in mold manufacturing, as well as for producing precision components in the aerospace and medical industries.

Laser texturing is a fully digital solution that enables the creation of unlimited surface effects on almost all types of parts and materials. It is the technology of choice for graining, etching, sandblasting, structuring, thin-layer ablation, as well as decoration and coloring, marking, and engraving.

What is laser micromachining?

Laser micromachining is a precise manufacturing process that uses a laser beam to remove material at microscopic scales. The machined parts may be relatively large, while the structures produced—such as holes, grooves, or shapes—can range from a few microns to several millimeters. Depending on the optical setup, the laser tool size is typically between 10 and 60 µm, enabling the processing of fine features in any type of material, including very hard and brittle materials.
